GEC Announces Whole-Home Generator Program

Is the thought of an extended outage keeping you up at night this hurricane season? GEC has a solution.

We are excited to announce the Glades Home Generator Program, providing Glades Electric members a backup power solution, in partnership with GRESCO Utility Supply. As a GEC member, you have the option to purchase a Generac utility grade, whole-home generator to keep your lights on, even when storms roll in.

Generac’s 22KW generator, with transfer switch and pad included, will power up to a 2,500 square foot home. Plus, you can monitor the status of your Wi-Fi-enabled generator from your smartphone, tablet or personal computer.

Our home generator program offers installation by a licensed Generac installer, and a site survey will determine any extra materials needed. A propane tank of at least 250 gallons is required to fuel the generator. Members should contact their natural gas provider for information on pricing.

Additionally, Generac offers to protect your generator with a five-year parts and labor warranty. GRESCO offers an additional three to five-year warranty.
