Connect, Powered by Glades Electric Cooperative

In January 2024, Antonio Hernandez of Hendry County, became the first GEC member connected to the Connect, powered by Glades Electric high-speed fiber network.

Glades Electric Cooperative has partnered with Conexon Connect to bring high-speed fiber internet access to members living and working in the cooperative’s service territory.

Connect, powered by Glades Electric Cooperative, will become a 2,600-mile fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network that brings reliable, affordable high-speed internet service to all Glades Electric Cooperative member homes and businesses.

Service is now available in Hendry County, Glades County, and for most Highlands County members. The Lake Josephine and Okeechobee County areas will be coming online soon.
