January 2023 Rate Reduction

When we announced a two-month rate increase in November to recoup unexpected fuel costs, we promised lower rates in January. We are pleased to announce our January rate will be reduced to $165.00 for the first 1,000 kWh. This is a 13% decrease from November and December rates of $190.15, and less than our October rate of $168.15 for the first 1,000 kWh. You may notice this is even better than the projected 10% decrease mentioned by our CEO Jeff Brewington in his January Florida Currents column. We hope to further reduce rates in April if fuel costs remain stable.

Fuel costs do remain elevated, adding about $15.00 to every 1,000 kWh. Unfortunately, the energy policies driving higher fuel costs are out of our control.
