2025 Annual Meeting Details
When: April 9, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Glades Electric Cooperative Training Room, 26819 U.S. Highway 27, Moore Haven, FL 33471 (Please note the new location.)
What: A short business meeting to provide an annual update, announce voting results and grand prize drawing winners from members who voted in the election. Members do not have to be present to win. The meeting will be recorded and posted the following day on this webpage.
Who: All Glades Electric Cooperative members are invited to attend. However, all voting will take place prior to the annual meeting by electronic vote through SmartHub or by requesting a mail-in ballot.
How can you vote in the 2025 Trustee Elections?
- Electronic voting will be available on SmartHub from March 3 at 7:00 a.m. – April 3 at 5:00 p.m.
Look for the “Vote Now” button on SmartHub’s home page. You’ll also receive an email when electronic voting opens.
Just log onto the SmartHub app or website to access our electronic ballot for a quick, streamlined voting experience without waiting for or returning a mail-in ballot. - If you prefer a mail-in ballot, ballots can be requested from February 1 – March 17.

Or visit our Moore Haven or Lake Placid offices. (Members calling the office will be asked to verify their identity.) - Ballots will be mailed to members beginning February 27.
- Return your ballot to be received by April 3 using the envelope provided with your ballot. Allow sufficient time for delivery to the Minnesota return address.

- Proposed By-Law revisions to streamline elections in the event of uncontested seats, eliminate the need for balloting membership to approve annual meeting minutes, clarify procedures for replacing a trustee who becomes ineligible to serve, and remove outdated references to membership certificates. These changes are proposed to simplify governance, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
How do you request a mail-in ballot on SmartHub?
- In the SmartHub app: At the bottom of the app, choose More > Contact Us > Report an Outage/Issue > Other Issues/General Inquiry > Request a Ballot.
- On the SmartHub website: Select Contact Us > Report an Outage/Issue. On the Inquiry dropdown menu, select Request a Ballot.
- BALLOT REQUESTS WILL ONLY BE MAILED TO THE MAILING ADDRESS ON FILE WITH THE COOPERATIVE.

2025 Candidate Bios
District 1 – Moore Haven
Donnie Lundy – Incumbent Trustee, Nominated by Committee
Mr. Donnie Lundy, an incumbent Trustee, has been a member of the Glades Electric Cooperative Board for 23 years. He participates in training sessions to stay informed about developments in the electric utility industry and obtained his Credentialed Cooperative Director’s Certification in 2002. He also serves as a Director on Seminole Electric’s Board, where he has been involved with the Finance, Administrative, and Power Supply committees.
Mr. Lundy is a lifelong resident of Glades County and earned a Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida in 1972. He is involved in agricultural activities, including sugarcane and winter vegetable farming, as well as commercial cattle production. He has previously served as President and Director of the Glades County Youth Livestock organization and the Glades County Cattlemen’s Association.
Mr. Lundy and his wife, Sandra, are members of the First Methodist Church of Moore Haven, which was established with the involvement of his grandparents. They have two sons, Scott and Brad, and three grandchildren. Scott and his family reside in Dayton, Ohio, while Brad and his family live in Okeechobee.
District 3 – Ortona/Palmdale
Mike Pressley – Incumbent Trustee, Nominated by Committee
Mr. Mike Pressley, an incumbent Trustee, has been a member of the Glades Electric Cooperative Board for nearly five years. During his tenure, he has attended various training and educational sessions and completed the Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate program.
A lifelong resident of Glades County and longtime member of Glades Electric Cooperative, Mr. Pressley graduated from Moore Haven High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
Mr. Pressley is a sugarcane grower and a former Glades County School Board member, having served nine terms. He is also a veteran of the Army National Guard.
He enjoys participating in community events, farming, and spending time with friends and family. Mr. Pressley and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 52 years. They have two daughters and five grandchildren.
District 4 – Lakeport/Brighton
Shannon Hall – Incumbent Trustee, Nominated by Committee
Mrs. Shannon Hall has been a member of the Glades Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees for 30 years, including 13 years as Vice President and the past 12 years as Secretary. Her contributions to the utility industry have been recognized statewide, as she was the first woman to serve as President of the Florida Electric Cooperative Association. She also served a two-year term on the National Directors Advisory Committee, appointed by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
Mrs. Hall has participated in extensive training related to the electric utility sector, earning both the NRECA Board Leadership Certification and the Credentialed Cooperative Director’s Certification. In addition to her service for Glades Electric, she is a member of the Glades Planning & Zoning Board and has previously served on the Glades Economic Development Council, the Lakeport Association, and the South Florida Health Planning Council.
A Glades County resident since 1987, Mrs. Hall and her husband, Ken, have been married for 54 years. They have five children, 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
